Google updates Gmail mobile
My main e-mail client is gmail, but i wasnt comfortable accessing it through my mobile phone because of its really slow speed and eating up lots of kilo bytes. But now i dont need to worry because Google has quietly updated its java application. Available now, the software has been streamlined to consume half as much data as before, reducing the amount of time needed to send and receive emails as well as accessing labels.
Other improvements are that now If you click on a contact in Gmail Mobile 1.5, you'll see full details, including their photo, and if you entered the phone number in your contact's details, you can call them directly from Gmail Mobile.
Even you can save an unfinished message for sending it later. And, like the Maps Mobile application, Gmail shows the bandwidth usage every time it loads data.

To install it, visit gmail.com/app from your smartphone.
