Tips to buy a second hand Mobile phone
Actually other than blogging I even do a side business of second hand mobile phones. I buy second hand cell phones from the local market and then I sell them on e-bay. So doing this part time business I have learnt quite a lot about How to buy a Second hand mobile phone? Or what we need to check before buying a second hand mobile phone? Is it safe to buy a second hand mobile phone or not and a lot more. So here will I’ll write down some points which we need to keep in mind while buying a second hand mobile phone.
- Always prefer buying a second hand mobile phone which is not older than 2-3 months so that you can even get left manufacturer warranty of around 9-10 months.
- Firstly start the checking with the software and firmware. Press *#0000# and you’ll see the firmware version of the phone.
- After knowing the firmware enter *#92702689#, and you can know that how much hours the phone has been used talking.
- Then you need to see if the internal speaker and microphone are working properly or not. For that just make a call and talk to your friend asking if he can hear you properly or not.Next you need to know is whether the sound of the phone and speaker is perfect or not. You can know that by playing 1-2 songs.
- Later on move to connectivity options and check if Bluetooth is working and scanning perfectly.
- Now after checking the software area of the phone you need to move towards the hardware.
- First thing you need to do is check if the seal on the screws of the phone is being broken or not. If it’s broken or if the screws are not in their original condition then you can make out that the phone has been repaired or opened.
- After that take out the battery of the phone and just check it if its not getting too hot or leaking.
- After Checking hardware and software you need to examine the accessories provided with the phone.
- Firstly comes the box, There will an IMEI no on the box of the phone. Tele that number with the IMEI number displayed on your phone. (You can look for IMEI number on your phone by pressing *#06#).
- Then its turn for the handsfree to be checked. Connect it with the phone and look for a small headphone like icon in your phone. If you can see that it means that it has been connected properly with the phone. Now make a call and talk through handsfree to check if the voice quality is perfect.
- Lastly, look if the panel and body of the phone is original you can do so by touching and feeling it. And if you cant know by that than by comparing it with a brand new phone.
Now you have enough knowledge to buy the phone. So bargain a bit with the sales guy and finally make a deal.
